For us, environmental and climate responsibility is more than just lip service. We strive to improve, increase efficiency, optimize resource management and maintain health.

This applies to us internally across all areas of activity and to our work with suppliers and customers. In this way, we want to make a sustainable contribution and take responsibility for a sustainable world.

That is why Swissatest operates according to the following principles:

• We recognise our social responsibility and are committed to the responsible use of natural resources. We treat environmental aspects on an even level as economic and social aspects of the company.
• We are committed to protect the environment and are actively involved in international standardisation bodies (CENELEC, IEC and EU Energy Label) to reduce energy and resource consumption.
• Natural resources are used sparingly in all areas. This applies to the entire product life cycle, from research and development to the selection of suppliers, recycling and disposal.
• The environmental impact of every product, new activity and new process is assessed before it is applied, so that we can prevent environmental damage and safety risks.
• Residual materials are recycled wherever possible and economically viable. In the long term, we aim to achieve complete recycling.
• Employees are made aware of ecological issues and a sense of responsibility for the environment is actively promoted at all levels.
• We maintain an objective and open dialog with customers, authorities and the public, which contributes to mutual understanding.
• Compliance with the national, cantonal and communal laws and regulations relevant to the company is a matter of course for Swissatest.
